Marco Stefanucci
Associate Professor @ University of Rome Tor Vergata

I am an Associate Professor of Statistics in the Department of Economics and Finance at the University of Rome Tor Vergata. Previously, I held academic positions as Assistant Professor at the University of Rome Tor Vergata, the University of Rome La Sapienza, and the University of Trieste, and as a Postdoctoral Researcher at the University of Padova. I obtained my PhD from the University of Rome La Sapienza under the supervision of Professor Pierpaolo Brutti. My main research interests are Functional Data Analysis and Bayesian Inference. In Functional Data Analysis, I focus on developing novel statistical models to address complex settings, including sparse and smooth regression functions, compositional data, and datasets with sparsity or missingness. In Bayesian Inference, my work aims to connect penalty functions with prior distributions and to develop efficient algorithms for posterior computation.
